Zednik's injury should mandate protection

- Anybody remember what players faces looked like before football faceguards? The players cried foul, wimpy etc. when "forced" to wear them. But they saved their faces. It's time for the NHL to man-up and reqiure protection. It won't diminish the game one bit.

- Right On! I've been advocating a playoff system for years. The Univ. presidents who use the excuse that the "student athletes" can't handle it because it would make the season too long are simply giving us chin boogie while they take the TV and Bowl money.

- Good comments Todd, and by the way, as a former football official, I couldn't agree more about the timeout rule/process to "freeze" the kicker. Complete waste of time! Just let 'em kick the ball and see what happens.

- This kind of behavior is disgusting. If he's found guilty, he should be suspended as a minimum. How can any league condone this kind of stuff by minimizing it? I hope he loses all his sponsors and takes a big hit in the pocketbook, where it will really hurt him.
